Canim

The heavy lifting on CANIM is provided by an extensive hydraulic system. Each main engine is fitted with a 50 hp on-demand pump providing system redundancy. Fluid is directed to each function by a Hauve valve manifold with the returning fluid filtered and cooled. The entire system was installed new in 2002.

CANIM is equipped with a 14”, 50 hp 4-blade bow thruster and hydraulic stabilizers for stability. The windlass and four davits are hydraulic. The steering system is hydraulic with two additional levels of back up. A hydraulic Pacer pump serves for the anchor wash down, a fire pump and in reverse operation as a high capacity emergency bilge pump. Additionally, there is a 25 kw hydraulic generator powered by an engine PTO system.
